His Eminence Archbishop Sergios visits Durban

His Eminence Archbishop Sergios - Kneeling Service of Pentecost - Church of the Holy Trinity - Durban (1)On Sunday 23 June, His Eminence officiated at the service of Matins and the Holy Eucharist at the Church of the Holy Trinity in the presence of the Ambassador of Greece Mr. Spyros Theocharopoulos, the Ambassador of Cyprus Mr.Petros Nacouzis, the consul of Durban Mr. Savva Stylianou, the consul of Swaziland Mr.Vasilis Athienidis and the chairman of the Hellenic community of Kwazulu-Natal, Mr.Sotirios Sravrinou. An Artoklasia was also held in celebration of the name day of the Church.  This was followed by the Vespers kneeling service for the Feast of Pentecost. After his sermon on the Feast of Pentecost, His Eminence thanked the dignitaries for being present and wished the ambassador of Greece, Mr.Theocopoulos, (who has served the last four years of his career in the diplomatic call in South Africa) well for his retirement, and invited him to address the congregation. Mr. Petros Nacouzis was also  invited by His Eminence to address the congregation. After the service a celebration lunch was held in the community hall.
